Tell us what you are trying to do?
You are using an unregistered version of Toolset and are not receiving compatibility and security updates
Is there any documentation that you are following?
your plugin said I am not registered.. and clicking the register button said.. Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
Is there a similar example that we can see?
I've never seen that before: that you are not allowed to visit the custom installer page.
That looks like something else may be interfering in the process. It looks like that is a production site, but is it possible to temporarily disable other plugins (or possibly switch theme) to identify what is causing that?
If not do you have access to a staging server to try the same?
we do have dev/test environments. However your license server won't accept it because we have 1 license for the production server. Last time I open a ticket, tech told me not to worry about it because the backend server has a record of the prod server url. Also, prod server has all the folders protected except for /uploads which is writable.
- Go to https://toolset.com/account/sites/
- Delete the key for the site that has the issue (no worries you will not lose your Toolset content)
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New > Commercial (Tab)".
- Click the "Register Toolset" at the right section of the screen.
- Click the "Get a key for this site" link annotated in the screenshot below.
- A new page will open up and the auto-generated key will show in pop-up.
- Copy the key and paste it into the "Site Key" input box annotated in the screenshot below.
- Click the "OK" button.
If the issue persists, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.
ok.. we are not connecting.. you missed the whole issue.
Our LIVE environment is locked down. Hints hidden link is not accessible (my guess, your code requires some level of write on "plugin" folder, which won't happen on LIVE)
DEV works because all folders are writable. Since we are not promoting DEV Database to LIVE.. the activation data will never go to live. Either activated from your portal and your code cross check the URL domain.. or may be update code to active not needing write access.(again, my guess since I don't know your code)
That is really hard to know what might be the problem cause as we do not have enough information for your prod environment.
You will need to test by making wp-content/plugins/ temporarily to see if you can now access that page?
Certainly, if it is possible to access that page in a dev environment then there is a restriction going on the live version that makes the issue as the Toolset code is the same.
Also, please make sure that the URLs below are whitelisted on your firewall:
api.toolset.com
cloudfront.net
Thanks.
