[Resolved] Send mail When custom fields are modified

This support ticket is created 6 years, 12 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I want to send notification when custom fields are modified but field dropdown showing those fields are in form content. I have multiple fields for custom post and I want to send mail to user when field value changed from admin like approved, received etc but Additional field conditions is not showing all the fields. Please check attached screenshots for more cliarification.

Hi, CRED can help you send email notifications when fields are modified on the front-end of your site in a CRED form. It can't help you send emails when custom fields are changed in wp-admin. I'm afraid you would need custom code or some other plugin to trigger notifications upon updates in the wp-admin area.

Hi,

I have created frontend form for these fields. Now I want to send three different mails based on fields. I have created three notifiction in form but its not working as it needs to be. I want to send only mail for the input is changed not for all, means if I have updated received to yes then it will send mail for Received notification and same for other. Now its sending mail for all. Please check attached screenshots for more clarification.

Okay you should check the box "Only if field value has changed" for each notification. This means the notification will only be triggered once after the field has been changed. Then it will not be triggered again until the same field changes. If you do not check the box, the notification will continue to send when other fields are changed.

I will be glad to take a closer look. Is your site online somewhere? Please provide login credentials so I can take a look in your admin area. If I need to make any changes, I will install the Duplicator plugin so I can create a clone of your site and run more tests locally. I have enabled private reply fields here.

Okay thanks, I've created a clone of your site and I'm able to replicate the problem you have experienced, even with a default theme and only Toolset plugins active. So I must escalate this to my 2nd tier support team for additional investigation. Please stand by and I will update you as soon as I have more information to share.

There isn't much we can do here on this, however I did check on our internal tracking for this ticket and it seems that this is fixed for Toolset forms version 2.1

I am still having the same issue. Can you guys please recheck the issue again. I am attaching some screenshots for cred form and notifications. I am getting the mail every time when value update to 'yes' or 'no'.

As mentioned previously this should be fixed for our version 2.1 release. I don't have a release date for this one .
