[Resolved] Select Post dropdown in post Post Groups is broken?

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Unable to add posts/pages to an Access Post Group, the post selector field is not working.

Solution:
The problem occurs because of a conflict with the Slider Revolution plugin, which can be temporarily disabled while setting up the Post Group.

I am trying to: Create a post group to restrict content. When I go to > Post Groups and then click "Modify Group" I expect to be able to search for pages and posts to restrict. Instead, it seems like the search box is broken and I cannot get any pages to show up.

I have made sure to check off the box "Managed by Access" in the Post Types tab of Access, but still this does not work.

It sounds like I am having this issue: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/post-groups-not-showing/

However I am running Access 2.5 and the fix that is recommended in that support thread is already in place in that version of Access.

Hi Ellis

I checked this on my local test site with current versions and found it to be working as expected.

On your site I could see the issue, and I checked the browser console, thinking I might see JS errors that would account for the problem, but did not.

I suspect there may be a compatibility issue with 3rd party code behind this.

Could you please switch theme to twentyseventeen and disable all non-Toolset plugins and test again. If the problem disappears it should be possible to identify the conflict by a process of elimination.

Let me know what you find.

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for your help!

I did exactly as you said to do and what I found was that it was a plugin conflict with Slider Revolution.

The best workaround that I can find for now is to deactivate Slider Revolution, create the post group, and then once configured re-activate Slider Rev. Doing that will not undo the new post group configuration.

Thanks!
