Hi - I would greatly appreciate help with editing an existing View to display search results with pagination.

From Screen Options, I do not know whether to change the view purpose from "Display the results using a custom search" to "Display the results with pagination" or check the "Pagination and Sliders Settings" in the filter section seem to enable the pagination settings in the Search and Pagination section.

I would like to set a display of 6 rows (of 4) per page if possible.

Hi Charles,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

In the pagination settings there is an option for you u to limit the posts per page.

What you need to do is setup this and limit it to 24 items per page.

Then you need to go to the loop wizard and add your content using the bootstrap columns and setting the number of columns you want.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane

Shane,

I use DIVI BUILDER, Bootstrap is disabled, and the View already exists.

What is the non-bootstrap workflow for editing an existing View to use a pagination format?

#1148076

I will make sure to identify myself as a Divi Builder user in open of every support ticket I post from this point forward.

Hi Charles,

Since you are using the Divi Builder, there are some limitations here.

In the Loop editor you will need to use the table based Grid and set it to a 4 column layout, see screenshot

This should allow you to achieve your goal.

Thanks,
Shane

Shane,

You are addressing this ticket as if I am asking for help to create a new View.

I am beyond that point. This View already exist: hidden link

And please note the time it takes the page to load.

#1148121

Because I have added this form and the results to my Homepage, it now, in its current state drastically slows down the loading of the HP.

1. The results should NOT load until a search is submitted.

2. When a search is submitted, it should be paginated.

Hi Charles,

I was under the impression that you hadn't setup the 4 column layout.

So what you want now is to just add the pagination correct?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

#1148124

That is correct, yes. Please.

The ultimate objective will be to edit the pagination and to increase page performance where ever possible. Also, the form should not display ANY results at all unless a search has been submitted.

The Homepage should load with just the top section and the form only.

Otherwise, what has been accomplished so far is great.

Thank you.

Shane,

It would be great if I could set the pagination to show 1 row or as many row breakpoints as desired.

Hi Charles,

Under the Pagination settings you should be able to enable how much items you want to show on the page.

See Screenshot

Then you can just add the pagination controls button to the view results.

Thanks,
Shane

The form and results should be accessible from two locations, 1. the Homepage (using a View) and 2. there is a static page version that is linked to the product page navigation menu. Both are based on the same product thumbnail View.

Both forms and results must behave the same.

That said where do I go to make the pagination edit that? I do not see the panel in your first screenshot in the product View.

Hi Charles,

What you need to do is scroll all the way up on the page and activate the pagination controls by click on screen options in the top right hand corner.

Thanks,
Shane

Can you please be more specific as to exactly which settings in the screen options panel, exactly?
