Hello,

I want to create a view without search options. It looks good in the back end, but a list of search options appear in the front end. I cannot find how to get rid of the search options.

Thanks!
Eloise.

Hi there

Can we get your debug info please? hidden link

This issue should have been fixed in Blocks 1.6 and so it is unexpected to see it being reported now.

Thanks for that.

You are up-to-date with your plugins, so this is unexpected because a similar issue was fixed in Blocks 1.6.

The issue arises when you create a View that includes search, possibly add a filter or search button or other block to the search section, then change your mind and use the Search toggle setting on the View block to disable search.

Does that sound like it may be what happened in your case?

It would help if I could take a look at your site, I may be able to fix the problem with a small change directly in the database.

But for that it would be preferable to work on a staging site rather than your production site, if possible. If not I can make a copy of your site to test locally.

Let me mark your next reply as private so that we can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for us to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site.

Can you also confirm the page where I can see the problem?

Hi Nigel,

Yes, I duplicated a view that had search and filters, and then deleted them.

The problem occurs on this page: hidden link

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure how you duplicated the View, that appears to behind the problem.

You can circumvent the issue by leaving the toggle setting for Search on, but without adding any blocks to the search section (so there is nothing to output).

In my testing on a local copy of your site I noticed that, and it is working on your own server the same way.
