If I search for something and sort the results, it does not seem to work. For example, I search for Kghi and then tried to sort by last name. The results are bad ...

Hi,
Welcome to Toolset support. Would you please manually download the hotfix that we recently had in Toolset and update the the Toolset plugins with the new ones?
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Make sure you are signed in toolset.com.
- Go to https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
- Click the "Download Toolset manually" link to show the rest of the plugins on the page.
- Download the latest version of the Toolset and its add-ons. (the version might be the same but the code differs)
- Install them manually on your website.
- See if it fixes the issue.
If the issue persists, please give us permission to copy your website to our server for further investigation.
Thanks.
i am not familiar with manual installation
and I already provided you access
if you did not get it, let me know how to do so for access

so i did a manual install and replace of all plugins like you suggested, same issue occurs
sorting not working when I type Kghi
some other searches do work
any reason why?
it is the same issue if you search for Garabedian and try to sort by birthplace, the sorting is ignored.
Following up to see if you had a chance to check
Hi,
Thank you for updating the plugin and sorry for late reply. Please consider that I will be off the next two days so the answer will be longer.
I logged in to the website and could not find what might be the problem cause. Would you please test by following the step below?
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except Toolset and its add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.
If the issue persists, would you please give us permission to copy your website to our server so I can report this to the second-tier support?
Thanks.
i tried all that
issue still there
I have already provided you access
This is an urgent situation
please escalate this asap
You can escalated and copy to see issues. Can we move this to high priority please
Hello there,
Thank you for your patience while we investigated this issue further.
I replicated the same scenario on a fresh WordPress installation with Toolset, and the issue did not occur there—search and sort worked as expected without interfering with each other. This leads us to believe there may be a conflict on your site, possibly with another plugin, theme, or custom code.
I attempted to migrate your site to a staging environment using the Cloudways Migrator, but the process failed.
I also tried creating a package of the site using tools like Duplicator and All-in-One WP Migration, but the site size (38GB+) prevented success, even when excluding the largest folders.
To proceed, we'd need one of the following:
- Access to a Staging Environment: If you have a staging site, please share access with us. This would allow us to test and disable plugins/themes without impacting your live visitors.
- A Copy of Your Site: If you can create a package of your site and share it with us, we can set it up on our server for testing.
I’m enabling the appropriate fields in this ticket for you to securely share either staging access credentials or a copy of your site. Alternatively, you can use any file-sharing service of your choice (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox) and share the link here. This reply is private, so only you and I will have access to it.
Even if we escalate the issue to our second-tier support, having a staging site or a copy of your site is required to allow us to conduct the necessary tests without affecting your live site. Providing this access now would expedite the process if escalation becomes necessary.
Thank you, and I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Mateus
