This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: I have placed the View filters and results separately on a Page, but they don't seem to be working together.
Solution: In this case, the filters and results were different Views. They should be the same.
This support ticket is created 5 years, 3 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.
