Tell us what you are trying to do? I have an edit form for a custom content type. I need to restrict editing of that item to a single submission. After it's been edited (and submitted) once, I need the editing option to go away, or a message to appear that states "This item has already been edited."

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - I would like to know here that editing will be restricted per user or it will be apply globally that once any user edited the form - it will not allow to edit to any user or it should be per user?
