[Resolved] Restrict access to the whole site

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I want to restrict access to the entire site except the login page, but Toolset Access only allows controlling specific parts of the site, not full-site access.

Solution:

Use a third-party plugin like Restricted Site Access (https://wordpress.org/plugins/restricted-site-access/) to block the entire site except the login page; then use Toolset Access alongside it to control internal access by user role. Compatibility between the two should be tested on your specific setup.

Hi,

That is not the role of the Toolset Access. Toolset Access gives you an ability to restrict parts of the website. For more information:

You can consider using a third party plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/restricted-site-access/

We are not the developers of the plugin above, it is just a suggestion and the usage of that plugin is your decision.

Thanks.

Hi Christopher.

Thanks for your reply.

Are they able to live together ? The extra plug-in to restrict access to the whole site and Toolset access to restrict access to the different user levels ?

Hi,

That is what you need to test as unfortunately I do not have an answer to the question.

Thanks.
