[Resolved] Responsive view of toolset slider

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user has a view that is display 3 items per page in a slider.

However on mobile they wanted to display only one item per page in that slider.

Solution:

Remember views isn't a dedicated slider plugin that would have multiple options that could give you an appearance like this.

We can achieve this but it would require that we use two separate views, one for desktop which limits it to 3 columns and then a mobile view that uses only one column.

You will need to create 2 separate sliders and use css to set the visibility options

Tell us what you are trying to do?
-Im trying to create 1 column mobile view slider BUT 3 columns in Desktop view.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
-I tried this one https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/creating-sliders-with-types-and-views/
but its only showing to create 1 column slider

Is there a similar example that we can see?
- hidden link
check the 3 column slider in desktop, but when it comes to mobile view it converted to 1 column view

What is the link to your site?

Hi Hayley,

Thanks for getting in touch.

The reason why this happens is because of how views is designed. Remember views isn't a dedicated slider plugin that would have multiple options that could give you an appearance like this.

We can achieve this but it would require that we use two separate views, one for desktop which limits it to 3 columns and then a mobile view that uses only one column.

However i might have miss interpreted. Lets say on the desktop your view is displaying 3 items per page.

Is it that on mobile you want it to display 1 item per page?

Please clarify for me.

Thanks,
Shane

Ok thats what i thought. 2 views is needed. Hopefully you upgrade your toolset view to accommodate this features.
