[Resolved] Responsive Layout – Text not wrapping at a certain screen width

This support ticket is created 6 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I am trying to: Use a Layout in a responsive Genesis theme.

I expected to see: The text that describes a writer shouldn't overlap the right hand sidebar, but it does when the screen is a particular width. If you drag the screen width wider or narrower, there's a point where the text overlap occurs. I can't understand what's causing it.

This is happening in Safari on a Mac.

I just tried it on Chrome, and the text block for the Writer doesn't sit to the right of the thumbnail, as intended.

Hi Matthew,

I'm still not able to replicate the issue even on safari here.

This could just be an isolated issue. Could you try testing on a different pc.

OK, I need to investigate further, maybe rebuild some things, clean up a little, and see what I'm left with. Thanks for your help.

I fixed it. The problem was caused by the row in the layout being set to be as wide as its container, not as wide as the theme content.
