[Closed] Repeating field group not copied when I duplicated a post

This support ticket is created 3 years, 3 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Tell us what you are trying to do? Make a copy of a post (cpt nl2021) in order to create a modified version. This cpt has several custom fields, including a repeating field group. When I duplicate the post (I've tried multiple plugins for the purpose) the repeating field group in the new post is empty.

Is there any documentation that you are following? no

Is there a similar example that we can see? no

As repeatable field groups are stored in separate (related) posts, duplicating a post will not duplicate its repeatable field groups.

You would need a code solution for that.

As it comes up quite often, some time ago I created a sample for use with the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin, which you can find here:
