If you check on your form you should see a few toggles that will allow you to Autogenerate the Nickname and Username. This should remove them from the Register form.
For the Edit Profile Page you can remove this by using the expert mode for the form.
Please try this and let me know if it helps.
Thanks,
Shane
I was able to remove the Nickname and Username from the Regiser form. It worked for the User profile form too. I didnt have to switth to expext mode. 🙂
I have told the form to either "Keep displaying this form" or "Display a message instead.." and both times the forms keeps dissapearing when the users saves changes. Any idea why? here: hidden link
How do I get it like my Toolset profile page here, when I save changes the form stays and i get a message saying Updated!?
How I add another field to the registration form? I want to add a field for Company.
Of course I also want to display that field on the Edit progile form.
I took a look at your video, however i'm not seeing where you have refreshed the forms page after updating the settings on the backend.

Was this custom field created in Types and added to the different user roles that are selected on the form? If so then you should see the field showing up on the right hand side of your form editor where you can just drag the field onto the form.
If this field was not created then you will need to create it and then attach it to the user roles.
1. I just did a normal refresh. I tried both options: "Keep displaying this form" or "Display a message instead.."
and form still disappears.
1. Thank you. I got the custom field and added it the user form. When trying to edit profile and fill out the form the field it's still empty after clickin save, and form keeps disapearing.
I'm not sure why the AJAX submission isn't working however disabling the AJAX submission caused the form to start working correctly now as intended, the forms update and your submitted message is being displayed.
Perhaps what you can try doing is to temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and check again to see if the issue still remains as it seems a plugin conflict might be the root cause of this issue.
