This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
A CRED form is publishing autodrafts as well as the normal posts.
Solution:
This is a known issue when the form includes featured images and Relevanssi is active. A fix is available in this erratum: https://toolset.com/errata/cred-auto-draft-posts-created-when-relevannsi-cred-and-featured-images-are-used/
