Tell us what you are trying to do?
hi
having two tables connected in a one to many relationship
when i go to the child and want to select the parent where the parent having no title but CPT with a name field and other fields
how to let the dropdown select the CPT name field instead of using the title field?

Also when generating relationship form and autogenerate content the form displays but the dropdown is empty?

Is there any documentation that you are following?
https://toolset.com/documentation/post-relationships/how-to-set-up-post-relationships-using-toolset/
https://toolset.com/documentation/post-relationships/selecting-parent-posts-using-forms-create-child-items/
Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

This is not possible. We are working on a feature that will allow you to control better what to display when you edit or add a related post, but still, then it will not be possible to populate the Select2 Field with a Custom field.

Something similar be done in a Relationship Form, however (Toolset Forms).
There, you can sort, order and filter by Post ID, Post Name or post authorship.

But the exact request you mention needs a new feature (I can file this if you agree).

Also when generating relationship form and autogenerate content the form displays but the dropdown is empty?

I need more steps to know how this happens.
On the link you share, it seems I need to log in.

Hence I activated a private reply for you to submit:
- details of the issue, how you produce it and where I can see it
- access to the site

Then we can have a look and determine how to proceed.

Hi Rex,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Unfortunately we don't have an API similar for this.

We also released a new version of our Toolset forms plugin. Could you update and let me know if the issue still exists.

Thanks,
Shane
