This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user had a 2 posts that had a common parent but wanted to display the brother post on the child

Solution:

To do this I would recommend have a look at our relationship documentation for views.

I am trying to: Show posts related to the current post being shown

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: A link to the post for Bruce Harwood should be showing up under related talent

Instead, I got: No Items found

These posts are connected through a relationship where both talent are related by the franchise: the-X-files

Hi Ian,

Checking the view I see that you were sorting your view by the last name field. I checked the post and there isn't a last name field on the post type that the view is displaying.

This is why you werent getting any results.

I've fixed this and it should be showing now.

Thanks,
Shane

Looks like a number of things got changed here, but did not give me the results I was looking for.

I am trying to show "related talent" as in other actors that have appeared in the same "Franchise". So with any of the actors/talent that have appeared in the x-files I should see two other actors that appeared in the same franchise.

I'm only seeing two relationships with one posts each on this post. From what I understand but can you confirm, you want to show the persons who are related in the same Talent Franchise?

For e.g with X-Files you want to show Bruce and Dean?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

Yes so on Tom Braidwood's page I should be seeing Bruce and dean.

Later on when more actors are added they may share relationships with multiple franchises.

Hi Ian,

Ok so you want to display sibling posts essentially on the current child page.

Right now you will need 2 views. 1 view to get the Franchise that the child is related to and a 2nd view to list our the children of that related franchise.

Take a look here

I've created both views for you and should now be listing the correct information. Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane
