Hi there,

I'm trying to find the simplest way to register new users to my site, collect some basic data, and add the users to any mailing list platform.

I've gotten a series of training emails from Toolset after I purchased, so I know you guys use some sort of email platform to communicate with users. I wanted to reach out to you for help planning the best way to do the same.

I've been trying to use Ninja Forms and MailChimp to get the job done, but I will use any platform (and preferably Toolset) that works.

My specific, short-term goal is to register new users when they want to access one of my free knitting patterns. I want to do this with ONE form that I would insert on the knitting patterns page Layout (right now it's a PmPro Memberships form). I want to be able to collect data about the signup action, specifically what page the user signed up on (I just want to know WHAT pattern they signed up for) so that I can email them specifically depending on what pattern they wanted.

If a user goes to a sock-pattern page, I want to be able to email them information about knitting socks. If they sign up for a beginner pattern, I want to be able to email them information for beginners.

I have 38 different free patterns, so creating a separate form for each page is not an option. Besides, I'm using Layouts to design the page, so I have only one Layout for all Free Patterns (custom post type).

Since Toolset is the best ever, I thought that maybe using Toolset Forms would be the answer. But how then to automatically sign new users up to an email list, and tag, label, or otherwise group them so that I can email them differently based on where they signed up?

I'm willing to use any email platform out there that would receive information from a Toolset Form. I could even use Zapier or something if that's the best way to do this.

Thank you for your advice on emailing new users based on Toolset form signups.

Cheers,
Liat

Hi Liat,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

The answer to the email list isn't within the scope of functions our plugins provide, because with Toolset forms sends an email only when a post is created and only to specific users that have been predefined on the notification.

A good solution would be this plugin below.

With this plugin you wouldn't need your users to subscribe but you can send emails based on the user's role or you can even create an email list.

Please try this plugin and let me know what you think .

Thanks,
Shane
