[Resolved] Reference sites – General Question

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: How should I go about setting up a multisite network of reference sites when I have only one registration key available?

Solution: Technically each site in a multisite network counts as a single installation and requires a separate registration key. However since you are just testing things out, you can install the plugins at the network level and register once.

Tell us what you are trying to do? Create test reference sites (classifieds, magazine etc.), each in their own subdirectory, but I only have 1 Toolset license.

Is there any documentation that you are following? I haven’t seen any to describe this situation.

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Technically each reference site counts as one site, and requires a separate license. However, since you're just testing things out you can install the plugins on multiple sites. You won't have the ability to get automatic updates, but the plugins will continue to work. If you're trying to use a multisite network, you should refer to the WordPress instructions for setting up a network: https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
Once you have your network up and running, then you can install the plugins at the network level. They will be accessible by all sites. If you are running your WordPress in the WordPress Multisite mode (network), you need to install one of the required themes (Astra, OceanWP, GeneratePress) and activate it manually from the Network Admin.
