[Resolved] Redirect CPT pages that are auto date trashed

This support ticket is created 5 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hello!! Is it possible to redirect CPT pages that have a expiry date that are sent to the trash to redirect them to a custom page.

For example, if a job page expired and was sent to the trash, this would show as a 404, can we somehow redirect it to a custom page?

Hmm, no I'm not aware of any redirection customization like this in Toolset. I don't know if WordPress maintains a list of permalinks that existed in the past. Seems like that would be required to know whether to display the normal 404 or something else.
