Mot_de_passe_perdu.png

Hi,
I created a page (mot-pass-perdu) with the Lost Password Form Field, & the Url of the Reset Password page (nouveau-mot-passe) :
- when e-mailadresse entered and form submitted, the page reloads
- and I get the following message in my browser's address field :
hidden link
- it never gets to the Password Reset page (nouveau-mot-passe)

The recaptcha works fine in my Login (Connexion) and Logout (Deconnexion) pages

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Creating the “Lost password” page in WordPress

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Here is a temporary admin access without password :

Thank you for helping me resolve this issue.
Best regards,

Francesco

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

First of all, based on the debug information you shared I find that you are using the outdated Toolset plugins. We always recommend running your site with the latest stable release plugin version.

Please check the following blog post for more details:

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***

Could you please update ALL Toolset plugins to it's latest officially released version. You can download the latest plugin release from your accounts page:
=> https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Alternatively, You can install/update Toolset pluigins using the installer plugin:

Once you update all plugins to latest version, is your issue still persists? if yes:

Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
- Do you see any difference? What if you try to deactivate the WP Armour plugin?

Hi Minesh,

Thank you for your prompt response.
I downloaded the most recent version of all Toolset plugins, installed and activated them.

Yes, The process works :
- on the 'Mot de passe perdu' page, when the form is submitted, the reset password link is sent to the e-mail entered
>>> no more message in the adress field about a recaptcha not validated
- then, when used, the reset password link gets to the "Nouveau mot de passe " page, where the new password is entered, confirmed ans validated
- which lands on the connection page

But the thing is that on both of those two pages, the recaptcha field is not displayed :
- is this normal ?
I do not really mind that, since the process now work : I just want to know.

Also, you were right : the WP Armour - Honeypot Anti Spam plugin had to be deactivated for the reset link to be sent !

Thank you for clarifying the absence of the recaptcha field on the Lost Password Form and the Reset Password form.
Best regards,

Francesco

I've disabled the Recaptcha setting "Enable for Lost Password Form" from the captcha settings page:
=> hidden link

Glad that solution I shared help you to resolve your issue.

Hi Minesh,

I think the Kadence Captcha setting you disabled is meant only for the standard WP lost password form, and does not apply to a Toolset User Form.

I deleted the WP Armour plugin and intalled the Askimet instead : the reset email gets sent OK from my Lost Password Form, so all is well now. I just did not want to leave a possibility for a security breach.

Thank you for helping me to understand and resolve this issue.
Best regards,
Francesco De Grandi
