If you are referring to do something similar with Blocks then it won't be possible.
You will still need to use our Views plugin in order to achieve this.
It should be noted that our Views and blocks plugin are essentially the same. The only difference is that Views has the classic view editor enabled by default.
As my understanding, I can only either install the Blocks or the Views, I did install the Blocks and made a lot of templates, if I uninstall the Blocks and install the Views, what will be happened to all my existing setting?
Will Views be obsoleted very soon? I hope all my new site can use the most updated Toolset plugins.
As mentioned views and blocks are the same plugin.
if you currently have blocks installed you can access all your classic views by enabling the classic editor in Toolset -> Settings -> Editing Experience and selecting the third option.
Once you've done this and refreshed the page you should see the Views option appearing under the Toolset menu item.
You don't actually need to uninstall blocks and reinstall views because they are the same. Views also has the blocks option but it is disabled by default in the settings.
I set the Toolset -> Settings -> Editing Experience by selecting the third option, but I still have no idea how I can create the query and be called from CRED, could you please help to advise how I can do it?
In your initial thread you posted I can create Views in generating a list option and put into the CRED, but not Views is retired, what is your suggestion how I can do a similar task?
However now you are saying but I still have no idea how I can create the query and be called from CRED, could you please help to advise how I can do it?
I'm assuming that you are still referring to creating a JSON view to pass into a Cred field. If that is so then once you've enabled "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build"then you should see the Views option under Toolset -> Setting when you refresh the settings page.
Also please ensure to double check that "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build" is selected.
The Views menu item won't show up unless this option is selected and saved.
