I just stumbled unto https://toolset.com/documentation/programmer-reference/forms/cred-shortcodes/#cred_form earlier tonight and discovered the shortcode insertion below:

{!{cred_form}!}

I've been using the square bracket way for years within a text Editor Module in Beaver Builder and have not noticed any problem.

Should I go back to my previous and replace all forms shortcodes with the above method?

Hi Gerard

The square brackets are the standard format for shortcodes, as you know.

We introduced the alternative format with curly braces for adding Toolset content inside page builders because there could arise problems with the shortcodes being parsed properly, and we added a mechanism to handle that.

Square brackets mostly work fine, and if you don't encounter any problems I wouldn't change them.

If you do encounter problems using normal shortcodes, you have the alternative available.

(It is some years ago that they were introduced, and I don't recall the exact details of when the square brackets might be a problem.)
