Hi,
I suddenly found that woocommerce products wasn't rendered as they should. I disabled some plugins one after the other and when I disabled WooCommerce Views the bug disappeared. I found that the Product Template File was set to 'WooCommerce Views plugin default single product template' instead like it should 'WooCommerce Plugin Default Templates'. The plugin must have changed that by itself, setting WooCommerce Views plugin default single product template as default. Nasty. I spent a lot of time bug hunting this one.
Hi, the default setting "WooCommerce Plugin Default Template" should remain selected when WooCommerce Views is activated. Can you tell me more about the site's history? I would like to be able to replicate the bug so I can escalate it for investigation, but when I install from scratch the default template remains selected.
- What theme is your site using?
- Are you using Toolset Layouts?
- When was WooCommerce installed, and when was WooCommerce Views installed?
- When you activated WooCommerce views, was there already a Content Template applied to Product single posts?
- Was there already a Template Layout applied to Product single posts?
- Do you remember seeing the button shown in this attachment? Is it possible anyone else saw and clicked this button at some point?
Hi,
I can't give you a good answers to your questions. I have had Toolset Types, Views and WooCommerce Views installed for years for this particular web. I have upgraded the Toolset plugins when updates were available. I am certain I never changed the template for single products to Woocommerce Views Template, since that removes most of the content of the single product page. I came upon the faulty setting by chance and pure luck, and could have spent many more hours looking for a explanation in other place: changing themes and disabling plugins.
All the best
M
