I refer to the ticket "https://toolset.com/forums/topic/problem-with-astra-site-builder-after-updating-plugins-toolset-blocks-and-forms/" which was closed due to the fact that I was waiting for an answer from Brainstorm's support.
Unfortunately they claim that the reason for the behaviour of the slider lies with Toolset: "compatibility issues with their recent updates".
So I am back with you to ask you to check the problem again. I will send you the modified credentials in a private message.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
I've created the following sandbox site and you can auto-login to it using the following link:
- hidden link
Can you please try to create the slider the same way and add required themes/plugins and try to reproduce the issue and send me the link of the templates and page you created where I can see the issue.
You can also send me access details for your site and that will help me to compare the sandbox setup and your site setup.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
We do have internal ticket to improve the Astra integration with other options like builder options but we do not have any ETA on it.
That is why I've created another sandbox site:
- hidden link
I've created the following content template:
- hidden link
With above content template I've added the container block with background image.
I've created the following Astra hook template that is set to display at top content on frontpage
- hidden link
As you can see I've added the following shortcode to display the content template build using Toolset where container block is added with background image:
Hi Minesh,
I tried to transfer your workaround from your sandbox site to my staging site:
I created a content template named "slider-front" (ID 29156) that includes the view "Slider für Starseite" (ID 29284).
- hidden link
The view takes the images and captions from the last five post from the post type "Slider Bilder" and shows them as background of a container.
With the Astra site builder I created a hook named "Slider Frontpage" that includes the shortcode [wpv-post-body view_template="slider-front"] and that is set to display at top content on frontpage only.
-hidden link
The result is the slider at the right postion which is good. But at the place where the previews of the latest posts should be (under the caption "Aus unserem Clubleben") the slider is shown a second time.
- hidden link
When you disable the hook at
- hidden link
these post previews are again shown at the front page (but of course the slider is gone).
I am slowly losing patience and hope for a real solution to the problem.
