Predefined search parameter

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

hi,
managed with the brands and models but now i have another problem.
hope you can help me 🙂
we have some generic products that can match couple of models and each model have separate cable.
so we have a variable that the client can select his cable by the model.
but, if the client all ready to search the brand and the model so we know his model, is it possible to pre-define the variable after the search to the right cable?

i hope i explain my self ok 🙂

hi,
i attach an image.
let's say that i search for some brand and model.
get the results and then click to go throw to the product page.
in the product page, i have variables.

can i select the right variable according to the model that i select in the search?

the main problem is in the gereric products that can much a lot of models and each model have a different cable size.
basiclly i can duplicate the products according the model but i think its not right...

You want to link to a specific variation? If so, this post explains that you can use specific URL parameters to link to a specific variation.

I'm not sure how you would know which URL parameters to use based on the model searched.
