Hi

I've got an issue with a post relationship. The website is a few years old and it was made by an ex-colleague of mine, so I am not entirely familiar with the website.

Whenever our client creates a new case (CPT), she can link it to a certain expertise (also a CPT). There seems to be another CPT for the link between the two (which I find strange, was this necessary in the past to make a post relationship?), that automatically generates a title: the name of the post relationship followed by the ID, which is what our client sees now when she wants to link an expertise to a case. Because of this, it's not clear which expertise she's linking to the case. She used to see the title of the expertise in stead of the automatically generated name.

I've found an old back-up of the site, which still has an old system for the post relationships. I think that someone updated the Toolset plugins, and since the system for the post relationships has changed, our client now sees the automatically generated names.

Is there a solution to this? Or do I have to recreate the post relationship?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jef,

You may not need to recreate the post relationship, what I would try first is to backup the site, then disable the non-toolset plugins and then check the relationship fields to see if they are still displaying the slugs of the related post.

If that doesn't work please let me know and we can go from there.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane

Thanks for your response.

I've made a backup and disabled all of the non-Toolset plugins, but the issue still occurs.

Hi Jef,

Could you provide me with a copy of the site so that I can debug locally here?

To provide the copy please follow the instructions in the link below.

Thanks,

Hi Shane

Thanks a lot for your help, but I've already found a solution to this problem.
I remade the post relationships while keeping the old ones too, so none of the connections are lost.
