I've create a post field group,
associated the group to a custom post type
added some fields to the group and have it all saved.
When I go in the custom post type for a given record,
the field group doesn't show.
In the screen elements of the editor, the group doesn't show either.
How to fix this? what to verify?

Would you please go to Toolset > Dashboard and make sure the custom fields are assigned to the post type in the question or not?
If not, please try again.
Also check if other plugin does not take over the custom post type. Test:
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except Toolset and its add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.
