Hi,

I have the following issue:

I haven't touched the site for a couple of week. Today I come back to development and first thing I do is to save one of the forms after a minor update. When I update the page with the form it shows:

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/c/.../.../public_html/wp-content/plugins/cred-frontend-editor/application/models/form/data.php on line 56

I updated all the plugins but it didn't solve the issue. I rolled back to a back up and the message disappeared. I re-saved the form again without any changes at all. The message is there again.

Please advise.

Hi Valeriia

I've just had two other users report the same.

I think this will be related to updating to WP 4.8.3, which introduced various errors and problems with CRED.

I'm still waiting for details from the other users, so if you are willing to give access to your site I can take a copy and we can start looking at reproducing and identifying the problem.

I will mark your next reply as private so that I can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site, even though I don't intend to make any changes other than to temporarily add a backup plugin to take a snapshot of the site.

Quick update Valeriia.

The developers are already aware of this issue, and it will be fixed in a CRED update that we are about to publish that will fix several issues related to WP 4.8.3.

When you see the update please try again and let me know if you still experience problems.

Oh thank you for the last update. I was already about to make a copy of the system for you.

Will wait for the fix then,

I have this error as well.

Can you let us know when you expect the CRED update to be available?

Hi there

Please let me know when you update to CRED 1.9.2.1 whether this fixes the problem.

Note that this is a hotfix for a few specific issues that arose with the update to WP 4.8.3. The open errata for CRED (https://toolset.com/known-issues/) remain open (the expectation is the fixes will be included in CRED 1.9.3) and if you had applied any of the patches from those errata to 1.9.2 you will need to reapply them to 1.9.2.1. I'm sorry for the inconvenience that may involve.

Hi Nigel,

The message disappeared after the update. So far don't see any other problem. Thanks.

Great thanks Nigel for the speedy support.

I updated to CRED 1.9.2.1 and it fixed my problem.
