[Resolved] Permalink for child post: can it include the parent post?

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user wanted to add the permalink for their parent post as a part of the child post slug.

Solution:

Unfortunately no this is not possible to do with our plugins ?

Adding the Parent slug or name to the url will require some custom coding to achieve.

My parent post type is "departments."

Posts within this CPT include "police-department", "fire-department", etc.

hidden link is the permalink structure of these post.

What I'm seeking to do is to have child posts, as such:

hidden link
hidden link

Outside of setting these up as Pages, is there a way to set up the CPT so that I can create child posts that can have this permalink structure? Perhaps this is possible via the new Relationships functionality. Thank you for your time.

Shane, thank you. I thought that was going to be the answer, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
