[Resolved] Paging

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
A View includes pagination but the pagination links are showing too many pages after applying some filter, more than there are filtered results.

Solution:
The pagination links were inserted in the Loop Editor *after* the final wpv-layout-end shortcode. Moving the links inside this shortcode resolved the problem.

It was only an issue when inserting the search form and View results separately, when inserting them together there was no such issue.

Hello
I'm having a problem with pagination. I have a site with a search engine create with toolset and view, in which I use pagination. It does not update when displaying search results. For example if in the search engine I choose "Maison" as a search criterion, the pagiantion indicates 13 pages out there are only 2. When I click on page 2 and I want to click again on the page 1 the result of the page is not displayed. we stay on page 2. if I click on pages 3, 4, 5 ... it indicates that there is no result. which is logical since there is actually none. The button previous page does not appear either.
For pagination to work I have to refresh my page every time before clicking on the page 1 or page 2. What is the solution?
thanks
regards
Harold

Hi Harold

It's difficult for me to comment without seeing it on the front-end at least, and it would make it easier to diagnose if I can look at how you've set it up, so can I get access to your site?

I will mark your next reply as private so that I can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site, even though I don't intend to make any changes.

Can you also confirm the page where I can see the problem.

Hi Harold

The problem was that you added the shortcode for the pagination links after the wpv-layout-end shortcode in the Loop Editor of your View.

That would normally not matter, except in your case you insert the View search filters and the search results separately.

I moved the pagination links shortcode inside the layout shortcodes and tested and it appears to work correctly now.
