With the screenshot you shared, you can see textbox "pages to skip" and "number of preceding and following pages" can you please try to input values as required by you and check if that help you to resolve your issue.
That additional pagination seems that coming from the theme. Do you see any option to hide that pagination - if not, then you will have to add the custom CSS code to hide that additional pagination.
If you are not sure how to hide that, please share problem URL and admin access details.

I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
On the right sidebar I can see the "Theme Options" section and within that section there is option to disable the elements for title and pagination and I've disabled the pagination as you can see with the following screenshot:
