I am trying to: order alphanumerically the choices in a drop-down of a parent of the CRED form CPT

I expected to see: that changing the "order" parameter to 'date' or, changing from 'asc' to 'desc' would change the order of the elements in the dropdown, but no effect
Instead, I got: same order, whatever combination of "date/title", and "asc/desc" I use.
In a perfect world, I would expect that the ordering choices would be the same as for WP_query, because I'd like to order of the choices in the dropdown to be alphanumerical, as many users might expect/want....
