[Resolved] order not working on product archive

This support ticket is created 5 years, 3 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

If you go to the shop page, you will see that I made a VIEW for the products archive. I set it to sort by post date, descending, but anytime I change the post date to a product it does not change the order.

Hi Stacey,

It seems there might be a plugin that is affecting the order option.

Could you temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and try again ?

I deactivated all plugins except toolset and woocommerce and still no luck with the orders.
Can you take a look?

Hi Stacey,

It seems to be an issue with the product archive, because it works fine with other types of archive but not the woocommerce product archive.

I've escalated this one to our 2nd tier supporters but for now this is my findings.

Hi Stacey,

Thank you for the patience.

I've gotten a response from our 2nd tier and this can be resolved by disabling this setting in the Woocommerce Views options in Toolset -> Woocommerce Views. See Screenshot

This allows the views sort order options to overwrite the default settings.

I've already disabled this setting in the test site and your ordering should be working now.
