Tell us what you are trying to do?
I would like to open the post edit form in a new window but cant seem to figure it out.
Im using elementor to build my page templates so not using toolset for that specific function.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
Is there a similar example that we can see?
What is the link to your site?

Hi Waldo,
Thank you for getting in touch.
I'm assuming you've already setup the edit post link for your page. However to set the edit link to edit your post.
The shortcode should be similar to the one below.
[toolset-edit-post-link content_template_slug="person-edit-template" target='self'] <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-pencil"></span>[/toolset-edit-post-link]
The shortcode has an attribute called "target". In order to make this open in a window you will need to put target='_blank'
Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Waldo,
Here are the private fields for your next response.
Please send me a link to the page where I can clearly see the edit link on the frontend.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Waldo,
I'm not sure how this link was added to the page itself.
I've checked with the elementor builder on the page but I'm not seeing any way to edit this particular section.
Can you provide a detailed instructions on how to edit this.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Waldo,
Thank you.
We are going to have an issue here. The nature of your setup won't allow you to have an edit form only on the page.
This is because the Form replaces the post content section. From what I can see you essentially have static content on the page itself which our form isn't able to edit.
However i've now set the edit link to open in a new tab but as mentioned it won't open the form alone.
Thanks,
Shane
Ok, understand that.
any suggestions on the structure to follow to be able to do what I want?
Thx

Hi Waldo,
Unfortunately not because of how elementor works. When you have the post content cell you're not able to customize it with elementor.
So any solution would require that you not use the elementor builder for this page.
Thanks,
Shane
Thx.
I knew Using elementor to create the page templates would cause some issues at some point.
Ill keep looking at another solution, or consider rebuilding the page templates.
Thx again

Hi Waldo,
Sorry I wasn't able to provide a suitable workaround for you.
If there are no further queries on this you can go ahead and mark this ticket as resolved.
Thanks,
Shane
