Dear Sir/Madam,

I have two custom post with custom fields, I have the post form for the users to add/edit/delete the post, as I will grant them the access to the dashboard, I don't want to all them to manually update the custom fields.

May I know the difference between Modify and View Fields In Edit Page, what is the Edit Page mean? If I uncheck the Modify I can View the custom field content from dashboard, other than this feature, will it restrict other function to the user? Could you briefly explain how I can apply it for different situation ?

Best regards,

Kelvin.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Here is the official Doc for the controlling custom fields in the backend:

As the information shared, you can control using what role users can edit the fields or only view (see) the fields while you add/edit post from the backend.
