[Resolved] One custom post type does not show up in search results

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: One of my custom post types does not appear in standard text search results. I have chosen to index this post type in Relevanssi and rebuilt the index, I have checked the archive's Content Template source, and I have checked the post type's public status. None of these have helped.

Solution: Check the WordPress Archive settings to ensure the post type is included.

I am trying to:

List the search results from our section 'Mode' (fashion) as all the 4 other posttypes are doing.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

hidden link

I expected to see:

Just use the huge search field and type in 'veja'. As You can see - it shows up already as a suggestion. This indicates that the search term is in the index of relevanssi (and the autocomplete addon we use). Now choose it and search. You will revieve no result.

Now try it again with 'tee' (tea). It shows all the results for tea. And this works well with every 4 main categories we use. Only 'Mode' (fashion) don´t spit out any result.

First we thought it could have something to do with Relevanssi. But yesterday we tried to use another function called 'Liebling' - it´s a simple favorite add-on. It also works well with all the 4 categories - but doesn´t like 'Mode'.

What we´ve checked:

The search content template - but it uses all 5 cartegories : hidden link

The posttype settings itself for all the 5 categories.

There must be something we miss and I hope You have an idea!

Hi, lets try these troubleshooting steps first:
- Go to wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf-edit-type&wpcf-post-type=shops-fashion and scroll down to "Optionen". See the warning? "Warnung: The same value is already used in permalink rewrite rules for the custom post type 'shops-fit-rel'. Using it again can cause issues with permalinks." This could be part of the problem. Try using a different permalink structure for this post type, then resave your permalinks in Settings > Permalinks and rebuild your Relevanssi index. Test again. If no results are found, continue.
- Temporarily activate a default theme like Twenty Seventeen, then deactivate all plugins except Relevanssi, Types, and Views.
- Rebuild your Relevanssi index, then reload the page at yoursite.com/?s=veja and check the results.
- If results are found, then reactivate your parent theme and test again, then activate your child theme and test, then activate your plugins one by one and test until the conflict is revealed.
- If results are not found, then I'll need to take a closer look. Let me know if I can use Duplicator Pro to create a clone of your site so I can test locally.

Hi Christian.

Sadly that don´t fix the problem. The URL structure don´t seem to be the problem. I´m aware of the warning - but we´re using it in all 5 categories with no problem yet. If You have a better solution to shorten the URLs like they are now - it´s very welcome!

I also did Your next steps - with no success. To verfiy it work´s I changed 'veja' to 'tee' and it showed up all results.

The duplicator plugin is still installed and of course You can use it.

Thank You / Sascha

Okay it appears that the "Fashion" post type is not included in this WordPress Archive. I didn't realize it because of the language difference, sorry. See the attached screenshots. Please use the "Bearbeiten" button to add the Fashion post type, then rebuild the index and test again. Let me know how it goes.
