[Resolved] Nothing happends when press search

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user has a custom search on their archive page but its not working when the search button is pressed.

Solution:

What I recommend that you check is that the option "Don't include current page in query result" is not checked.

I am having a problem when pressing the search button, - nothing happends. I was able to solve this earlier by changing what I wanted to display in the cell, then change it back again. But now it seems to have stopped again.

Would you mind helping me out?

Please see screenshot how I have set it up,

The problem is basically that nothing happends when pressing the search button or by filtering with wpv-control-postmeta.

Hi Tom,

The problem is that AJAX is not firing on your site.

Could you temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and swap the theme and let me know if the issue still remains?

Thanks,
Shane

I will try this tonight, or tomorrow morning. But our other archive page with search button works perfectly. You find it here: hidden link

Tried disabling other plugins, but the problem remains.

I can see that when typing something into the search field, the filter change. So I guess the problem is that the results are not being connected to the search form.

Can you verify? hidden link

Hi Tom,

Hi Tom,

I tried to create the copy but the site isn't loading at all.

Could you remove the all in one migration plugin and let me know if the site is up again ?

Not sure how will this cause the site to not load.

Thanks,
Shane

The server was down in a period of 1-2 hours yesterday. I guess it could be that.

Site is up and running now again.

Hi Tom,

I'm attempting the backup again.

Would you mind deleting this archive and re-create it ?

Sometimes this can help to resolve issues like these.

Thanks,
Shane

When I removed the checkmark for "Don't include current page in query result" it worked again. Very simple solution, but did not see it earlier.
