post type has content in this city but does not show.png

Although the related address fields are filled, they do not show up on the map. Some of them, that is... For instance, I have several post types residing in the city of Leeuwarden, but there's a big gap on the map. What might be causing this?

Hi Bob,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

I tried logging in to check on this for you but it seems the credentials in the private fields don't work.

Could you check on this and let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Bob,

The issue was that you had the pagination settings enabled limiting the view to display 10 items per page.

Now i've removed the paginatin settings an all your items should now be showing on the map.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane

Hey Shane,

It partly helps. On the detail pages (after selecting a city) I would still like to use pagination per 10. I thought the initial view without any filters applied showed all items whatsoever.

Hi Bob,

No this won't be the case.

The pagination attribute is actually fixed so We won't be able to start with no pagination and then have the paginations after the filters have been done.

Thanks,
Shane

Would I be able to parse the search from one view to another then?

View A: Show map without pagination, with all markers.
View B: Receive search results from A and display with pagination and markers accordingly.

Something like that 🙂 ?

Hi Bob,

This can be done, however it should be noted that after the search is done, only the items that match the search criteria will show up on the map.

There is an alternative to this using 2 views but it would involve hiding one map and displaying another map based on when the search started.

Please let me know what you think of this.

Thanks,
Shane

Hey Shane,

Please do enlighten me 🙂 Both options seem interesting.

Hi Bob,

So with the first option, where once the search is made you won't have to do anything, this has already been setup. See the link below.

You will notice that the map is only listing items that are being displayed at the moment.

If you are ok with this then we won't need to do anything further.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

I don't get it... If you would search on 'Leeuwarden' then there are more than 10 items, so pagination should appear.

Slight addition to my previous scenario:
View A: Show map without pagination, with all markers.
View B: Receive search results from A and display --- A LIST with pagination --- and markers accordingly.

Hi Bob,

In this case we will need to create 2 views and then once the filter has been applied then we hide the original map and show the secondary map with the filtered items.

Would you like for me to setup this for you ?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

Hey Shane,

That would involve the conditional filter I presume? I would appreciate it, but please also explain what you will do 🙂

Cheers!
