Toolset plugin cannot connect to toolset.com
Toolset needs to connect to its server to check for new releases and security updates. Something in the network or security settings is preventing this. Please allow outgoing communication to toolset.com to remove this notice.
Hello, I'll be glad to help figure this out. Can you check the Installer Support page in wp-admin and take a screenshot for me? I would like to see your configurations there. Log in to wp-admin, then go to hidden link to find the Installer Support page. Take a screenshot or screenshots of the contents here and include those in your next reply.
If you are not able to access the Installer Support page, can you confirm you have the latest version of Toolset Types installed? The latest version is currently 3.4.7. You can find your plugin version number in wp-admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins.
If you do not have the latest version installed, I suggest you download the latest Types plugin from https://toolset.com/account/downloads. You should also make a backup of your site and database if you have not yet created a backup. Then go to wp-admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins, deactivate and delete the Types plugin. Go to wp-admin > Plugins > Add New, and upload, install and activate the new version of Toolset Types.
Hi Christian,
Thanks for the reply.
First, i have a new Toolset key. Where do I need to put it : Zl7kFPTPMW ?
Before it was the key of my dev.. but I bought a new one today.
Okay I understand - you need to re-register the software using the new site key. I can walk you through that process. Log in to your site's wp-admin area using your administrator account. Go to Plugins > Add New, and click the Commercial tab. Scroll down to the Toolset installer panel. If the site was previously registered with a different key, you must click "Unregister Toolset from this site" in the top right corner. The page should reload.
In the Toolset panel, click "Register" in the top right corner, add your site key in the registration field, and click "Register". That should solve the connection problem, and you should then be able to use the automatic updater tool to keep your Toolset software up-to-date. Let me know if you have questions about that process.
Thank you Christian! I am just wondering if I register with my new key, will I loose everything we've done before with the other account?
No, none of your work will be lost. Everything you have created so far will remain intact in the database and in your site's file system. Registration will not have any impact on your progress, so you can re-register at any time. The main impact of registration will be that your site will be able to receive updates to the Toolset software, and you will be prompted when new updates are available.
