When I create new WP Users (either through a CRED form or from the admin panel), the new user notification email is not sending.
I have set up SMTP on my server and tried multiple plugins (which I use successfully on other sites with the same credentials) but I can't even get a test email to send. The plugin currently installed is Easy WP SMTP.
When I try to send a test it's like the browser gets stuck trying to compute.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Hi Monique

Toolset just uses the built-in WordPress email functionality, and if the notification emails are not being sent when adding new users in the backend it sounds like a problem with your WordPress install or server, not with Toolset.

Try adding a plugin that logs emails, such as WP Mail Logging (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/).

That will record attempts to send emails, even if they cannot be sent for some reason.

If the CRED notification emails show up there then the Toolset part has worked.

You may need to contact your host to discuss the problem.

Let me know what you find.
