[Resolved] New Form Editor – Can I apply columns?

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Can we add Fields in Forms in columns?

Solution:
ou can simply drag the fields next to each other, that generates evenly distributed columns.

Other than that you'd have to edit the HTML of the Form with the Expert Mode

Hi,

I like the new Form Editor but I'd like to put some of the fields into columns. I know I could use Expert Mode, but I'd prefer not to have to do that. Isn't there a way I can apply a class to a field so I could easily achieve what I want?

Btw, I think having some type of column functionality(1/2, 1/3, 1/4) in the new Form Editor would save us a lot of time when formatting forms.

This is the form I'm currently working on:

Thanks,

You can simply drag the fields next to each other, that generates evenly distributed columns.

You cannot have empty columns (you'd have to insert at least an empty HTML block), and the columns will always evenly split the space (so, for example, col-3 and col-9 in the same row are not possible).

Other than that you'd have to edit the HTML of the Form with the Expert Mode, I am afraid.

More features for the DnD Builder however you could request here https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/

Ahh, ok, that's pretty much what I needed, though it would be nice if there was just a class field for each field to further tweak them. I will add a feature request, thanks.

Is there a trick to this? I saw it in one of the form-builder videos, but have not been able to accomplish it! No amount of dragging fields to anywhere will give me more than a single column in a form.
