Basically, I have a website page (hidden link) which utilizes Toolset Views to display posts from The Events Calendar plugin on the Home and Schedule (hidden link) pages. Every few months I get a complaint from my client that he added an event and it will be showing on his mobile phone, but not the desktop version of the site.
My client, Kevin, added an event called 'Tuesday, October 31 @ 5:00pm – Spooktacular @ Claremont Library | Berkeley, CA' that is currently viewable on the Schedule Page via mobile, but not on desktop. I too see the same problem on my end.
My system is up-to-date. The theme I am using is Avada. I tried flushing the Avada cache and it didn't help.
At first I thought this was a caching error and hit up the server (Flywheel) support, but they found no evidence to conclude it was on their side. They removed the pages from persistent caching, but suggested reaching out to toolset for plugin support (RE: Views).
I have a staging site setup where I was trying to remedy the bug, and I found that updating the view (just by adding or removing an empty line) will get it the view to display correctly. I really don't want to hop into the loop editor every time he update his website and do this...
Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue?
Also If you could email me directly at jacob@jacobgleason.com with any updates, I would appreciate that.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
We can not email you but reply you here as per our support policy.
Can you please tell me how exactly you added your view to your page?
Can you please share problem URL with access details will help me to investigate the issue further.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
