[Resolved] Need to switch the account without loosing data or formatting

This support ticket is created 2 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi there,

My developer originally set up this site using toolset. Everything works great. I would like to switch the account from his to mine. I just want to make sure I don't loose any data or formatting.

I'm assuming that I just unregister the current plugin and reregister it with my new site key. Is that correct?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Toolset site key will be required when you want to update the plugins. You can create a new site key with your account and try to register the Toolset plugins. Registering plugins will not have any effect on your content. Please try to follow the following Doc:
