[Resolved] My site site could not activate the link code to enable updates.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user is trying to register their plugins but they are using Types 2.2.3 and the registration is failing.

Solution:

The issue here is being caused by your Types 2 version. I would recommend performing a manual update of the Types plugin to version 3 and then try re-registering the site.

You can download the latest version from the link below.

Key not valid. 2019-06-10_05-41-05.png

I am trying to: Install Types and Views by Activating the site key after pasting the site key to register Toolset on this site.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
I expected to see: Select the Toolset components to download. To activate them, check Activate after download.
Instead, I got: «Clé du site non valide pour le site actuel.» message. The key is not valid.

Hi Neal,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

The issue here is being caused by your Types 2.3 version. I would recommend performing a manual update of the Types plugin to version 3 and then try re-registering the site.

1. Will I keep the views and models already configured?
2. You advise me to perform a manual update of the Types plugin, but how? Manually uploading it and installing through the Plugins admin screen does not work. I get : < The link has expired, please try again > message.
thanks

Hi Neal,

Yes this won't affect your views or templates.

Secondly a manual update of the plugin can be done by following the tutorial below.
