Tell us what you are trying to do?
Hi guys, you aready have full access to my site (in the private reply box) on this thread = https://toolset.com/forums/topic/unable-to-get-numeric-custom-field-to-decrease-in-increments-of-1/

So, my problem is this:
I have a Custom Post Type (Called 'References'), this CPT type can only be viewed by logged in users of certain user roles (if you use your Administrator login you will have access to this post type). I have created several posts in the 'References' post type, and for some reason, 1 of them loads, and the other do not load (I just get a blank white screen).

Example of the post which loads correctly = hidden link
Example of a post which does not load = hidden link

Other than the post title being different, I cannot see any difference between the 2 posts, yet one of them loads and the other does not. Please can you tell me if there is a bug? Or can you tell me what the problem is?

Thank you very much for your help 🙂

Keith

Is there any documentation that you are following? n/a

Is there a similar example that we can see? supplied above

What is the link to your site?

Hi Keith

Thank you for getting in touch.

In a case like this we would enable the wordpress debugging for the site and then check what messages appears on the page that doesn't display.

To enable the wordpress debugging please follow the instructions below then let me know what error shows up when you visit the black page.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane, sorry for the delay getting back to you.
So I enabled WP Debug and to be honest that didn't really tell me anything (no error message etc). But since then I have found what the issue is - it seems like there is a bug with Toolset, I will explain:

- In my Content Template, I am loading in a custom field which is a 'WYSIWYG' field

- I noticed that the posts which were NOT displaying both had text entered into this field, and the posts which WERE displaying, had nothing in this field

- So I looked deeper into the settings of the field, and it seems that what is causing the issue is a setting called 'Third Party Filters', it seems that this setting defaults to 'Apply third party filters to the output', and this causes the page to display as a blank page. If I change this setting to 'Do not apply third party filters to the output', then the page displays correctly. I have recorded a screen recording of how I get to this setting just in case it is not clear what I am referring to - please click this link to watch it = hidden link

- I thought that maybe this could also be theme related, however it appears not - when I change my theme to the wordpress 'Twenty Twenty One' theme, the same issue still occurs.

So to finish, I have solved my issue and therefore this is resolved, however I think you should look at this setting to see if it is a bug in Toolset.

If you need to keep the access to my site for a few more days that is no problem (please just let me know here), otherwise I will disable your access now - I will wait for your reply.

Thanks very much,

Keith

Hi Keith,

Thank you for the update. Happy to see that you were able to resolve the issue.

Yes please if you're able to provide me with a copy of the site that would greatly be appreciated. To send the copy please follow the instructions in the link below.
https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/#creating-a-copy-of-your-site
I can then go through this to identify any issues and then escalate it to our 2nd tier support team.

Thanks,
Shane
