[Resolved] Can I use Toolset in a Multisite Environment?

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I'd like to know the best practices for using Toolset in a multisite environment.

Solution: Normally you will register Toolset once in the main Network Site and perform your plugin updates there. Those will propagate to all the subsites if the plugins are Network Activated - it's not necessary to register each subsite. At least Toolset Types must be network-activated to see the Commercial tab in the Network Site's Plugins > Add New page.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
Hi, can I use Toolset for a multisite? If so, which license would I need and how would I set it up? Would I need just one install b/c the multisite is all subsites or would I need an agency license b/c there would be several subsites? Also, do I have to register every subsite? What if I have hundreds of sites, I would have to register them all, or would it be under just the main site?

Thank you.

Hi, yes Toolset can be used in a multisite environment. Normally you will register Toolset once in the main Network Site and perform your plugin updates there. Those will propagate to all the subsites if the plugins are Network Activated - it's not necessary to register each subsite. Hi,
Thanks-- seems simple enough so I must be missing something b/c I don't see a "Commercial" tab:

Perhaps the Toolset Types plugin is not yet Network Activated, or it's an older version? I can't tell based on this screenshot. You would have to Network Activate the Toolset Types plugin, preferably the newest version 3.4.3, before you can see the Commercial tab in the Network Site's Plugins > Add New area. You can download the Types plugin here if necessary: https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
Once that's installed and Network Activated, you should be able to use the Commercial tab to register the software suite and automatically install other Toolset plugins. If that's not working, I'll need to take a closer look.
