Toolset is great,
but it could be more flexible when adding fields.
For example:
- formatting numbers (thousands and decimals sperators)
- set min and max values for all field Inputs incl. text, number, select, etc.
- copy fields of a Group (removes the Need of adding fields with 50 Options again and again - previously generated fields are not available in selection for the same Group)
- prefix and Suffix for fields inside or outside the Input
- add Icons to fields
- fields that can not be edited
- calculate between fields
I mean without adding functions... for user like me

Holger

This should be possible already, when you add new Fields, you can choose to pick from already created fields (see Screenshot)
For the more dynamic Number Field (or a similar, Price Field) we have feature request filed which I have upvoted for you.
These will eventually be implemented at some point in the future.
For calculation we also have feature requests filed which I upvoted for you as well.
Non editable fields will not be implemented, I assume, as it somehow defies the purpose of them.
Icons is a nice idea, I will add it and we can then decide according the amount of users voting for this if we can implement it (as well the Developers will have a word on this 🙂 )
Thank you for the suggestions and your voice!
Answering to quotes:
"This should be possible already, when you add new Fields, you can choose to pick from already created fields (see Screenshot)"
Nope, your are wrong. This works only for fields created in other field groups. NOT for fields from the same field group. - Maybe a bug?

I don´t talk about price fields... its just a fact that half of the world has numbers like 12.232,22 and not 12,223.99
For calculation we also have feature requests filed which I upvoted for you as well.
So i thank you twice 🙂

But very useful. Think of a field, that shows values based on a value in a dropdown chose.

great

thank you too. the most feature i missed is selecting post types or taxonomies fron a drop down (like a post type selection field
thank you ?
OK, I misunderstood that you wanted them to have available when you create new groups, as usually each Group has different fields but those might repeat over other groups.
I see thou the usage of repeating in single Groups as well.
I mentioned the price field type because that is often where these syntaxes are actually required (comma, apostrophe, etc)
Since the feature was requested mainly from users who used WooCommerce this was seen as something needed for display of prices.
Hence, we would create a field that you could use like this, with more flexible syntaxes.
Numeric values right now in the fields are expected to be in a limited syntax, allowing only decimal dots.
The "non editable field" would hence be as well connected to one more feature, conditional content of fields.
This is not yet possible and we can file a request, which we will evaluate in future.
I believe there are as well plans for the post type field as you suggest, I will find it and upvote it too.
One more thing that comes in mind when creating content with types.
I can make beautiful forms with toolset and now I am even able to make edit post forms.
But what is really missing is a place, where users can see their posts, edit them, delete them, the their status, etc.
Do you have plans for this too?

There is the WordPress Admin area, and then there is Toolset Views, which with you could create such lists.
But no, creating such lists specifically for each user (just as the WordPress Admin, but restricted to only current user posts) is not planned.
This is the sort of features that we will not add to Toolset as it is out of scope, and can be achieved easily with a Post View, where you display (in the loop) for example several links to CRED Edit Form, or add new Forms, and similar.
This can allow you to "rebuild" the WordPress Admin in the front end, basically.
I filed all the required requests. Thank you!
Thanks, I created a view that did this very nice.
My only critics on this is, that it is not possible to filter a view by "post status"
You can add Query Filters for the Post Status, but no Custom Filter - just as for the rest of Post Data like author, date, etc.
This is as well filed in form of a feature request (make Post Data available in the custom search).
