I have found a bug which I am not able to solve. So I hope you can help me.
On the above selected website I have a german and an english version which I translated via WPML.
On the german version I have the domain.com/de/mietpark/ where customers can request a machine by clicking a button which opens a bootstrap modal and automatically selects the ID of the requested machine. that works absolutely fine.
On the englisch version domain.com/rental-park/ I just copied the views and it is not showing the modal. Infact, it opens the modal but not showing the content. (I published one button for you on the english version, so that you see, what I mean)
My research has led me to the point that it maybe has something to do with the DOM depth, but I'm not sure. Have you seen something like that before? I hope you have an idea, because WPML and Toolset in my understanding shall work nicely in combination.
Hi Christopher,
I actually did that with my views. Or at least with the pages my views are shown on. Or what do you mean?
So I think that does not solve the problem in this case.
The problem itself isn't that the content is not shown, because I can find my modals and the correct content in the code when analyzing the english page. But it somehow does not appear in the foreground so that the visitor can fill something in.
Yes, Toolset and WPML should work fine together. I would like to know how exactly you configured the modal.
Can you please share admin access details and also share information where by clicking on what button I can see the issue?
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
okay, I think it is easier, if you have a look at the original site.
Can you please mark the next request as private. Then I'll share the original site login credentials.
And yes I tested it again with translation of content templates but it didn't help.
It seems that there are several items with the languages mixed. For example, in the content templates: hidden link, there are English templates and German ones, is that right? Please double-check if they haven't been mixed.
Also, your post form seems corrupted. Would it be a possible to create another one and translate it? Please let me know.
thanks for looking at the page. The translation I did to test if that fixes the issue, like Christopher told me (see above). But it did not.
So it is obviously not the regular way to translate content templates via WPML?
And what du you mean by the post form is corrupted? Can you get more precisely?
With 'corrupted' I meant that possibly some info was mixed in the database and that's why the form/content template do not work well in the translated version.
Further, we have checked that the form is not being displayed anymore in the German version: hidden link. Could you please restore it so that we can check it again? If possible, try to recreate the form/content template and retranslate it. The standard procedure for translating templates and forms is the same here.
I did not change anything since you last checked.
At the /mietpark Page the form ist loading (and the modal too) but the view is not automatically. You have to click on one of the Thumbnail Images to load it. I don't know why - that came out of a sudden.
What can I do now? The modal at the english page does not show - whether I use the english or the german template or form.
Just to make sure, do we have your authorization to make a copy of the website and migrate it into another server? In order to perform more complex tests without compromising the live production.
