This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: I am using Divi on my site, and when I activate Toolset plugins the horizontal main menu becomes stacked vertically.
Solution: Deactivate Toolset Layouts when using Divi, and also deactivate Toolset's Bootstrap library in Toolset > Settings > General.
