Hi - Is it possible to use the maps plugin with custom artwork/jpg rather than google maps?

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Toolset Maps plugin requires, at least, MySQL 5.6 for its geolocation capabilities. We store addresses coordinates on the database to be able to perform distance search. For this, we rely on, either Google Maps or Microsoft Azure Maps to get the coordinates from an address. Then we use one of them to display this on a map.

So, you will still be able to perform distance searches directly from the database or using a view, but you will need some kind of API to get the center of distance, for example, my current location, or the coordinates of an address(for example, an airport)

This being said, I don't see an easy way to use artwork or images instead of a map. That would be custom code which is beyond the scope of the support forum.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you still need any information.
